Young Carers Take to the Skies!!

On Saturday 1st October we were lucky enough to be able to invite 15 Young Carers and their families to Leicester Airport to take part in Smiling Wings Day 2022.

Young Carers were able to experience a flight in a light aircraft and some even got to take control of the plane! There are not enough words to express our thanks to Leicestershire Aero Club and Aviation Without Borders for making this possible.  

It is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will be remembered always. It's called Smiling Wings Day for good reason! We would also like to thank the pilots who volunteered their time to help make this such a special day and to the staff in the Clubhouse for the yummy chips at lunchtime!
