County Wide Activities

Despite the current situation meaning that groups and activities can't take place we have managed to deliver some activities either virtually or via post.

Working alongside Elaine from Garden Organic 45 Young Carers and Young Adult Carers across Warwickshire received through the letterbox a Growing Activity Pack. Within the packs are seeds including giant sunflowers, tomatoes and dwarf French beans and everything they will need to plant them, also some exciting resources to help learn more about nature. We have been thrilled to have some lovely images of the Young Carers enjoying this activity, see just a few below.

 

Our second activity came about from a suggestion by one of our project workers about how fabulous it would be for Young Carers to recognise such an accomplishment that Captain Tom had achieved by sending him a birthday card. A text was sent out county wide for Young Carers to send in coloured drawings celebrating Captain Tom’s amazing milestone 100th Birthday and also the remarkable amount of fund-raising he had done for the NHS.

We had some very artistic, colourful drawings many of these were used in designing two birthday cards which were posted.
